It's yet another rainy day in my neck of the woods. This year has been a wet one and I'm glad it's almost over. Not that the end of the year somehow draws a line where the wet weather will stop. And winter weather is nice to look at but lousy to walk and drive in. Hopefully next year will be a drier one, it seemed to rain more than usual drowning the vegetable gardens. Don't get me wrong rainfall is a god thing because it fills up the reservoirs but too much rain with its cloudy days is just depressing. Most people don't know that we get more rainfall here than Seattle. It's true, the average rainfall here is about 48 inches to Seattle's 40 inches. Rain will be part of this day and tonight. Then, a second system will move northward from the Gulf Coast. More locally heavy rain is likely. As this system moves off to the northeast, the precipitation will end during Friday - possibly as some snow showers.
