Fall is in the air and the woods are turning bright orange, red and gold. Right now were dog tired of all of the political nonsense in the medias. One lie or fabrication after another. It really won't matter a hill of beans to me whom gets to be "elected" our next president. So as I write this I have been thinking about getting away from all this and going some place nice and quite until it's all over.
Maybe even to Alaska. There is something mysterious and you might even say mystical about the thought of watching a big ol mooses take a crap on main street. I used to subscribe to "Alaska" magazine, every month or so reading about those big mosquito's up there, or a fish story about the big one that got away. Alaska has the strangest and extremest of weather, allowing a person with a green thumb to grow gigantic vegetables. Pumpkins the size of a small VW micro bus, with flower power painted on the side of it. Ya Alaska is the kind of place where one can really escape the back and forth moments and polls of this election. This certainly is a whopper of one.
I like to see pictures of Alaska and thought about going there for a couple months, even on a cruise ship. I could find a cabin at the end of a long gravel road, haul in some books, a frypan, salt, pepper, butter and a sharp knife for field dressing a moose. I might even bring up a Taser gun in case people try to rush the cabin and force me to watch the Presidential debates.
