THE NEWS !

I heard today's news on the tele.
Ebola and ISIS all on the page.
Got me to thinking what will be?
People running around in rage.

Another shooting at a school,
a kid decided to make a stand.
Not realizing that he's a fool,
in acting out with gun in hand.

Where are the teachers?
Where are the sages?
Why have they hidden off
falling into dark pages?

There are no clean hands,
only dirty questions asked.
About and the times of man,
what's happened in the past.

The future we shall all yet to see,
as the young take over from us
what this earth will turn out to be?
Will it be all gold or turn to rust?

There are more questions yet to ask,
as the news turns into a deeper page.
I'm hoping humanity will last,
and not fall into a deeper rage.

I heard the news today again,
another bomb went off out my door.
It seems another light went out again,
I've stopped reading the news a more.
