In the news, I understand that in California,
birds are catching on fire in mid air.
Not from the wild fires but from flying
through giant solar panel collectors.
They're calling them frying birds.
Back on the farm there's a few sparrows
taking turns on the window bird feeder.
This morning I saw a pair of Cardinals out back.
And a flock of yellow Finches have been here.
The frog pond is now green with algae.
Yesterday I saw that brown Fox out back.
It was running right fast toward the barn.
The Red Tail Hawk hasn't been here today,
but it has been soaring around every day.
