FARM REPORT !

Well it's about time for anotherFarm Report.
The sunrise was @ 5:44 am set @ 8:13 pm.
Strawberry season is now over and it's now
time the local corn is getting ripe to pick.
The second haying of the fields is due when dry.
It's not raining outside today which is a good thing.
The ground has been wet almost every morning,
Every Freaking Farm Day all this Year !
The Tomato plants need some Sun Shine.
There's been a big old Red Tailed Hawk these
past few weeks Hunting and a Roaming
around the back yard by the Frog Pond.
Which is o.k. because we don't have any
live Pheasant or Chickens to look after.
This morning the Hawk seemed to find a
Snake and it had itself a quick bite to eat.
I think it was a Snake, either that or one of
the longest red Earth Worms I've ever seen.
The Hawk flew away with the Snake in beak.
A few weeks ago there was a brown Fox
that had black stockings on it's legs that was
stalking around the yard and the back field.
Haven't seen it in awhile, but I did hear the
neighbor across the street shoot a gun off
one day at five o'clock in the morning.
So maybe he did a little target practice on it.
That same neighbor had a Stone Wall built on
the north side of the driveway to their house.
It looks like an old 200 year old Stone Wall.
They did a good job in choosing just about
all of the same sized stones to use in the wall.
I've got to get a pic this winter with snow on it.
Last week the boys cut up a mess of fire wood
to use as fuel to heat up their houses next winter.
The horse is doing good in the back field,
every once and awhile he can be seen running
full speed from one side of the field to the other.
He does that to get away from the horse flies.
That's the farm report for this end of July 2014.
