CRASH !

HARWINTON >> A Bristol man was arrested early Sunday morning
after he crashed into a utility pole on Route 72,
causing police to shut the road down for several hours.
I awoke to the mesmerizing sound of the electric generator.
Realizing that our electric power was out, I walked outside
through the sliding glass door of the sun room and looked
up into the sky, to see a million twinkling stars looking at me.
According to a summary provided Monday by Ct. state police,
23-year-old Jacob Murphy was traveling northbound on Route 72
shortly before 1:30 a.m. when he reportedly lost control
of his 1992 Chevrolet pick-up truck and hit a telephone pole
about three-tenths of mile south of Blueberry Hill Road.
Police said the pole broke in half, causing the electric outage.
Route 72 was closed at Blueberry Hill Road until about 10 a.m.
