The town's highway department was out in full force
moving snow around and widening the road some.
I took advantage of the sunshine and ventured out
into the snow and ice covered roads to go and
get some fresh groceries without much trouble.
Didn't even need to wear a jacket it was so warm.
On the way down the dirt road my car did slide
off the icy road just enough to make me think that it
could be real easy to get stuck in the snow covered ditch.
I bought a new type of a fruit, at least to me.
It's called a mangelo, and looks like a big orange.
It's a cross between a tangelo and a grapefruit.
Very juicy and fresh tasting with a sweet tart taste.
They do have seeds in them though which isn't cool.
On the ride back I saw two people on motorcycles
just riding down Rte 72 through the water and slush.
The front of the house has icicles now dripping water
hanging from the gutters almost all the way to the ground.
I understand that cold polar thing is going to be back
next week throwing us back into a deep freeze again.
Oh well, at least today was a breath of warm air.
