Tax the rich until there are no rich no more.
At the heart of Obama's case for the restoration
of "American values" was formally imposing
the so-called Buffett Rule --
the idea that millionaires and billionaires
should not pay a lower percentage rate
in taxes than members of the middle class.
I would go one further than Obama does in
asking the wealthy to pay more in taxes.
Every American should pay their fair share,
why should any citizen pay no taxes?
I'm leaning more and more to a consumption tax,
or a national sales tax that everybody pays.
Can we scrap the income tax all together?
probably not but I'm thinking that a lot
of people are milking the system dry.
