There was a shooting yesterday in New York where 13 people were gunned down by a nut case,and now in today's news a gunman wearing a bulletproof vest and "lying in wait" opened fire on officers responding to a domestic disturbance call today killing three of them and turning a quiet Pittsburgh street into a battlefield. the apparent motive for the shooting isn't clear, but friends said the gunman recently had been upset about losing his job and feared the Obama administration was poised to ban guns. The gunmen met officers at the doorway and shot two of them in the head immediately, An officer who tried to help the two also was killed. Armed with an assault rifle and two other guns, the guy with the guns held police at bay for four hours as the fallen officers were left bleeding nearby, their colleagues unable to reach them, according to police and witnesses. More than 100 rounds were fired by the SWAT teams. 100 rounds of bullets. Bad lead headed hollow pointed evil bullets. I'm thinking we should make owning bullets illegal. It's not the guns that kill it's the bullets. In today's news a woman was killed when a out of control tractor trailer rammed into her SUV. Should we ban tractor trailer's? Where I'm going with this is that it's just to easy to blame the actions of nut cases on gun ownership and the bad use of them. In the end some nut cases are just not able to be transmogrified to be "normal" in human society, they are just to unstable to be walking around in public, maybe we should cull the herd so to speak. But how to determine who is to be culled and whom to do the herd culling? This would be a monumental problem at least and presents a conundrum that could never be answered.
