I watched this skinny guy we elected to be our president at his press conference. I've gotten over the half white/ black issue and over his monkey ears.
There sat Helen Thomas all shriveled up from years in the White House press pool.
I give this Obama dude an A for effort, but at the same time I think his pea shooter is shooting blanks in every direction but ahead. He needs to stop this run away spending train he's on and rein in the government, as if that's bound to happen.
Things are bad out there. Not looking so good for the working guy or gal. I drove though the city and noticed more for rent signs on stores than ever before, and more for sale signs on everything. Because of government spending out of control, I see the jobless rates at 10% soon. Why don't the fed guys understand that it never has worked and they can't spend our country out of this recession mess we find our selves in. The good news is the stock market, as it always does, sees the light at the end of Obama's spending tunnel, I believe the market has bottomed and will be up more days than down in the next few months. Easing up the strangle hold on the banks, making lending a bit easier and by the end of this year the banks will see some signs of stability.
On another note I really Really hope and prey that the space shuttle that has just departed from the International space station or ISS, will not blow up on re-entry to earth. I'm no rocket scientist but as I've stated before I believe the shuttle program should have been moth balled years ago.
What are we getting from this ISS anyway? I heard today that they figured out how to make potable water from urine. I don't know about you but that just grosses me out.
Some say in years to come they will be able to catch the energy from the sun and beam it down to earth. Talk about sunburn.
