Many years ago while working as a painter in the Hartford Connecticut Civic center, I was introduced to fresh fruit smoothies and Celestial Seasoning's teas in one of the break rooms of the computer data firm which hired me to paint the offices of the many data in puters there.
I remember one woman's first name there was Laural and thought that a unique name, Anyway, I was amazed at the different flavors contained in the brightly colored and sometimes humorous Celestial Seasoning's boxes. Today they have many more flavors than back then and some are even caffeine free.
My favorite was Mandarin Orange tea which I would enjoy reading the Sunday comics on the lazy cold days of New England winters. Well today I bought a couple new flavors which seemed promising of not just simply interesting. One I won't mention by name for fear of being sued for slander, it tasted like dirt!
But the other was a nice blend of earthy spices without the dirt taste.
It's an all natural,no caffeine tea called "Bengal Spice". Very nice and soothing with a pleasant peppery finish. The box reads: "Bengal is a geographical region that today covers parts of India and Bangladesh, and forms part of the natural habitat of the majestic royal Bengal tiger. A spiced tea typically made with black tea leaves-- is very popular in India. Bengal Spice is a naturally caffeine free version of this traditional brew made with herbs instead of tea leaves."
The ingredients are: Cinnamon, Roasted Chicory, Roasted Carob, natural spice with vanilla flavors, Ginger, Cardamon, Black Pepper, Cloves and Nutmeg.
Realizing that the first time is the best I will wait until the second cup to claim this to be a favorite tea of choice, placing this tea on the list along with coffee flavored Haagen-Dazs ice cream as another favorite of mine. And I'm a Leo which kind of tilts the scales in this teas all time favorite of mine direction.
