One reason I like the tv shows "American Idol" and - the over the pond show "Britains Got Talent" is because once in awhile they showcase common people with real talent.

Because there are many people showcased who truly do have talent and that simply impresses me to no end. But just like watching an old episode of "The Gong Show" most are really stupid. So I don't watch the show in real time, electing to view the best of the acts on Youtube or something.
