As the dew drops freeze upon the trees
At the Blueberry Hill farm I sees
Less of the sun each and every day
Feeling colder the garden plants do lay
Time is changing bringing with it
The colors of winter bit by bit
As the cold wind brushes against your skin
Allowing winter to slowly but surely creep in
Some birds have left and some remain
I'll feed them all their all the same
As cold as this years winter will get
There's not a hungry bird I will forget
The temperatures are getting colder by the day and there are tons of acorns on the ground all over the place. I haven't seen one but I bet the Woolly Bear caterpillars are really furried up too. Today is another grey day that seems to be just another harbinger of a cold, wet and snowy winter. So rub your hands together and get ready to hunker down for a few months.

The birds are eating twice as many seeds than this time last year from the bird feeders, trying to fatten themselves up to survive the up coming cold winter season.
