Have you ever used a food mill? The kind that has a hand crank and pushes the food, in this case potatoes, through these little tiny holes dropping the food into a bowl looking like little stringy things. Well I used one today and darn nearly cranked my arm off. Halfway through the cranking process the little spring loaded wire attached to the bottom of the shaft loosened up, and fell into the potato stringy things. So carefully turning the mill on it's side so I could retrieve the springrod out of the stringy potatoes, abruptly sent a mess of potatoes cascading over the side of the bowl and all over the table. Putting the springrod back on I continued and about a half hour later finished milling the potatoes. This was a very aerobic like exercise that was not so good for my broken right shoulder. And the clean up is well lets just say that this piece of machinery, is going into the same cabinet as the juice machine, meat slicer and salad shooter.
