We are living in a time that is
of overwhelming interest to all.
Political leaders who hold
positions of trust and authority,
focused upon the current events
taking place every day around us.
These people are watching the
strained and restless relations
that exist between countries.
They realize that something great
and decisive is about to happen.
The world is on the verge
of its most tremendous crisis.
Even with the signs
that are taking place,
there are many people
who scoff at the idea
that this world
will come to an end.
There is even a popular song,
"It's The End Of The World
As We Know It
(And I Feel Fine)" by REM.
Well I don't feel fine.
I don't like what's on the news.
Gas prices are up
stock prices are down.
Corn is being grown for fuel
and tomatoes have salmanilia.
Since when does anything but chicken
have a bacteria that makes ya sick?
Schools are just crazy with
politically correctness,
a kid got expelled from school
for wearing a shirt with a picture
of a gun and American flag on it.
Now I hear that a dozen or so
teen aged girls want to get
pregnent all at the same time.
And Isreal is wanting to
send a few nukes at Iran.
The weather is all upside down
with floods and fires and all.
I'm turning off the news and
the headlines in the papers and
going back to reading some
good ol books.
