A word used when the actual name of the
object in question will not come to mind.
Very versatile but often very vague.
It is derived from the phrase
"what-you-may-call-it"
Finding the whatchamacallit
twisted around the thingamajig,
I unwrapped the thingy
that looked like a thingamabob.
Then the doohickey or doodad
gizmo poked at my leg and
that thingie you call a hoobajoob,
Dumaflached me in the ka-jigger.
While all the time that gadget
stuck me right in my whatsit,
And the spell check went nutso.
