PEACEFUL COMPETITIVE OLYMPIC GAMES !

A very frequent geographical question is "How many countries are in the world?" Different numbers pop up when one inquires about how many countries there are.
Each source you use often yields a different answer. Ultimately, the best answer is that there are 195 countries in the world.So how can it be that there are 204 countries participating in the 2008 Bejing Olympics?
