Why it's called labor day is perplexing.
Shouldn't it be called Non-Labor day?
One of the three days in the year that
my stomach craves a grilled hot dog.
July fourth, this day and mabe
one day in the middle of winter
when I miss the hot days of summer.
If your unemployed how do you
celebrate this Labor day holiday?
A second can of beer at the BBQ?
Speaking of grilling, this is so good.
This time of year grill up some
fresh whole apples, right in the peels
they get all smoky and mushy and
oh...so...good!
I grill them up all mushy,
chop them without seeds
into a bowl along with some
butter, brown sugar and
a drop or two of maple syrup.
Serve this stuff on vanilla ice cream
and it's just way off the charts good!
