SAVEUR MAGAZINE SUCKS !

Upon getting one of my favorite magazines "Saveur" in the mail today,
I decided to just relax and see what this months issue had in it.

A nice picture of a watermelon on the cover,
then right into a two page advertisement for Land Rover.
Then another two pager for Citi Bank
and then another two page spread for Viking stoves.
I'm getting tired of turning pages,
I thought "surely the index page would be next".

But wait...
One more two page ad for Four Seasons Hotels.
Then a two page ad with a shockingly big haired woman in an ad for Prairie Vodka.
Think it's done there? Two more full pages for KitchenAid.

A one page advertisment for Pasowine, and this was one of those ads where you really can't figure out what the ad is for, until you see in the lower right hand corner of the page in really tiny letters, Pasowine.

Ah! finally a page that has half of the index on it, but the print is so small
I have to squint to read it. ( And I'm near sighted ).
Turning to the next page is an ad for American Express.
Then a page with the other half of the index.
Along with a page for California Avocados.

I'm getting burned out from all these ads here.
Now the ads get smaller with four ads on each page. I'm not going to list them all.
Then another thing, there's the very annoying little post cards sticking out and falling to the floor. Some are glued right in and very thick making it almost impossible to turn the pages.

In the index I found an article that I might be interested in reading
about home cured bacon on page 88.
Well this publication doesn't have page numbers on every page.
So I found myself having to count through several more pages back and forth to get to a page that was close to number 88 and then count to that page.

I'm not renewing this magazine subscription,
and I think I'm going to be doing more reading on the Internet from now on.
